Could Your Food Business Be Part of LA28?
The LA28 Games are still two years away, but one opportunity for local food businesses is open now.
LA28 is inviting small and local food businesses from across the Los Angeles region to apply to serve spectators during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The L.ocal A.uthentic Program is expected to include food trucks and other mobile vendors at competition venues and other Games locations.
Applications are open through November 16 on RAMP LA. LA28 plans to select hundreds of businesses. Those selected may also receive mentoring and tools to help prepare for the Games and support growth beyond 2028, including guidance on production, finances, insurance and permits, staffing, and logistics.
For businesses in Long Beach, Seal Beach, and nearby communities, this is an opportunity to see whether your food, service, and operations could be a fit. The application details matter, so check the program’s requirements and confirm your eligibility before investing time on an application.
If you do apply, think beyond the menu. Could you meet a sharp increase in demand? What would you need to serve customers consistently, keep your team ready, and make the experience memorable? Those questions can help you assess the opportunity and prepare for other large events as well.
The Games won’t automatically bring customers to every local business. Turning the attention around LA28 into lasting visibility starts with being ready to participate and giving visitors a reason to remember and seek out your business.
