Olympic Partnerships: Local Heroes, Global Impact

The LA28 Olympic Games are still three years away, but the ripple effect is already being felt across Southern California.

According to the Los Angeles Times, luxury travelers are wasting no time securing extravagant mega-mansion rentals for the Games — some fetching $2.4 million a year. These estates, complete with private theaters, infinity pools, chefs, and drivers, are being snapped up by Olympic federations, sponsors, and the world’s wealthiest spectators. Ultra-luxury rental company LuxJB reports five to ten inquiries per week and has already secured multiple properties well in advance of July 2028.

But the Games aren’t just about billionaires and butlers. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for all Southern California businesses. From hospitality to restaurants, retail to transportation, healthcare to culture, the influx of athletes, teams, media, and millions of fans will create unprecedented demand for goods and services.

Big brands and federations may need year-round presences, but local heroes — small and midsize businesses — can also build meaningful partnerships. Aligning with LA28 can mean:

Community Sponsorships: Supporting local fan zones, school programs, or neighborhood celebrations.

Service Partnerships: From catering to wellness to transportation, vendors will be needed at every level.

Brand Alliances: Tapping into the Olympic spirit to connect with new audiences through storytelling, activations, and experiences.

The takeaway? While mega-mansions may grab the headlines, there’s room for businesses of every size to play a part in making LA28 unforgettable.

Now is the time to ask: Where does my business fit into the Olympic story?
